English Wine Week

The 'English Wine Week' is a national campaign that involves several local wine producers from different English regions, with the shared goal of promoting fine English wines.

Our aim is for English Wine Week to inspire more people to get to know our wonderful English wines better and help them 'shop local'. Not only does this help the environment from a sustainability perspective, but it also helps the English economy and share's the love. English wine can be beautiful and a lot of people simply haven't tried it.

Most wine in England isn't mass produced. It comes from small vineyards that have lower grape yields than wine regions in some other countries. The wine-making techniques here are also much more labour intensive, therefore the quality of wine is better.

So, you are paying for the quality.

At Penn Croft we use a detailed, small batch, low intervention approach that allows the fruit to shine. And if you've tasted our wines, you'll understand when we say - it's worth it!

Tourism in English Wine has grown and expanded in the recent years, with vineyard tours and winery visits more popular then ever.

Have you been on one of ours yet? Come along and see how we do things.
