Hampshire Getaways

A Hampshire Holiday? With wine? Sounds like a plan.

Families, friends and couples alike are turning to ‘staycations’ for their mini-breaks. A home soil holiday isn’t anything new, but the pandemic certainly went some way in encouraging us to explore a little closer to home. Cornwall, the Lake District, the Norfolk Broads – they’re all beautiful and a worthy choice for anyone looking to get away for a few days. But what about good old hearty Hampshire?

It might not occur to you immediately when considering a break, but perhaps we can bump it up a few places on your list. Hampshire offers a unique mix of picturesque towns dating back as far as the Saxon era. As well as an impressive offering of heathland, pastureland and nature reserves, making it one of the most lush areas in the UK.

From ancient woodlands to idyllic villages, there’s no shortage of picture-perfect places to spend a day – rain or shine. A holiday in Hampshire presents you with a variety of activities that can provide fun for all the family, from several notable National Trust and English Heritage sites to National Parks such as the New Forest or the South Downs. Not to mention many, many great pubs and restaurants dotted throughout the county.

Our particular area of Hampshire needs to be seen to be believed. We’re located just outside the quaint village of Crondall, amongst beautiful vistas and rolling fields. Local to us are several delightful restaurants, not to mention some simply stunning hotels for a night or two away.

We highly recommend a visit to North East Hampshire, whether that’s an afternoon out or a few days off work. Our winery and vineyard are open to the public, and we welcome visitors from all over the UK who are keen to see where the magic happens. Not only do we offer tours around Penn Croft, but we also have an active and exciting events calendar.

So if you’re interested in saying hello, be sure to check out our upcoming events.

We’d also like to take this opportunity to recommend several excellent places to eat and stay in the local area. Be sure to bookmark this blog, as it’ll be useful to refer back to when you next sit down and think about planning a little adventure.
